Holidays to Greece offer great value this year and tourists from the UK are taking full advantage. Tour operators are reporting increased bookings, especially for last minute summer getaways and cut-rate package deals.

Those traveling to Turkey are also finding discounts of over 20% thanks to the pound hitting a multi-year high against the Turkish lira. Package deals to both Turkey and Greece are on great sales right now, due to the fact that bookings to Greece have been hit by the ongoing civil unrest. Some tour operators to Greece and the Middle East have even gone out of business due to this situation. Yet other tourists are taking advantage of the situation to book week long deals for as little as 330 pounds, including flights. Sales of holidays to the Canaries and Spanish resorts have also increased in recent weeks.
